Saahirah Cua

Saahirah Cua is a rising senior from Bristolville, Ohio. Her major is wildlife and fisheries resources with two minors in forestry resource management and conservation ecology.

Her major is wildlife and fisheries resources with two minors in forestry resource management and conservation ecology. She is a board member for the Coopers Rock Foundation and also a member of the WVU Student Chapters of The Wildlife Society and the American Fisheries Society. She is also a member of the Honors College at WVU.  Her McNair research, supervised by Dr. Christopher Lituma, is focused on wood duck nesting success and how it relates to the surrounding development and landscape characteristics. She plans on pursuing a Ph.D. in ornithology. In her free time, she enjoys backpacking, hiking, bird watching, cooking, exercising, gardening, and enjoying nature in any way with friends and family.
