Tyrisa Salmond is a graduating senior from Capitol Heights, MDHer major is fashion merchandising with a minor in business administration. In the previous semesters, Tyrisa was a teaching assistant for Computer Science 101: Introduction to Computer Applications and a docent for West Virginia University Art Museum. With the advice and instruction from Dr. Debanjan Das, Tyrisa’s McNair research will be focused on trade policies within the textile industry and how they affect the United States and other international countries. After graduation, Tyrisa is interested in obtaining her doctoral degree in the field of public policy. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with close friends and family, traveling, and shopping.
