Taija Thomas is a rising junior from Moorefield, West Virginia.
She is majoring in psychology, and a member of the WVU Honors College, Psychology Club, Psi Chi (National Honors Society for Psychology), and PAWS (Pets are Worth Saving). She is currently working in Dr. Amy Gentzler’s IDEA lab which focuses on emotions and mood. Her research interests are broad, but she is currently interested in depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, and resiliency. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in counseling or clinical psychology in hopes of helping children reach their full potential. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and basically doing anything that involves her two Labrador retrievers.
